Friday, February 22nd, 2008

NLP is a study of one’s behaviour, thinking and reactions based on the subjective study of language, communication and personal change. So, this article, I will take about ones of the many NLP technique that called NLP Anchoring.

What is an Anchor? My Personal Definition

Is a processing of transferring a specific MOMENT in your life to a certain OBJECT so that you can retrieve back that moment whenever you need.

The MOMENT that I’m referring here is your feeling/experience or emotion. A good example maybe the first day you earned your first salary, kiss your mate, having your first child, completed a job that you considered impossible, the most happiest day, or even the first time you make love. Seeing Zig Ziglar for the 1st Time talking to audience on Goal Settings

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

I must admit that I am a lazy reader and that’s why I seldom read books. To overcome this laziness, I found another yet lazy solution. That is to have the author of the book read it to me.. hehee.. :o) Not really read to me in person, it is listen to their audio CD.

I will normally turn on a motivational/self help CD whenever I was driving on the road. It had become a habit for me now. Anyway, it is a good habit because it really broaden our mind and build characters in listening to motivational things. My car now become my personal University on Wheels for Success.

Zig Ziglar audio CD is one of my most listened audio after Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Zig Ziglar is a fast talker with a good clarity of each word he put out of his mouth. 4D’s + 2D’s = 6Ds’ of Success

Friday, November 9th, 2007

Success isn’t by luck. If you Play by Luck, you will 99.99% get PLUCK from your success.

Play with Luck = PLuck (a concept I learned from Zig Ziglar)

There is many got to DO’s thing that I learned from my appointed motivation and self-help guru. The below is the summary of what I learned on the D’s of success.

1st D’s – DECIDE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO BE SUCCESSFUL.

First, simply decide to be successful. Many times people wanted to be successful and did not make any final decision that they indeed going to successful.

Wanting are like dreaming for something but if you put a decision to have it, your mind and physical body will eventually work towards attaining it. You can keep wanting for something but without a firm decision to have it, it just turn out to be just another dream that often forgotten once you wake up.

“Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing”. by Abraham Lincoln

2nd D’s – DETERMINE WHAT SUCCESS MEAN TO YOU?

Do you know what success meant to you? Many of us didn’t come about to being successful due to generalization in the meaning of success.

Example Bad Definition #1: Success is having many of money.
Having $10 for a beggar will mean enormous money to them. Will $10 be sufficient to you? Or do you wanted $10 thousand or $10 million instead?

Example Bad Definition #2: Success is to be free and do what ever I want.
This is simply ridiculous. Why? Because this type of success would mean that you intended to be homeless beggar on the street. They have no worries, money isn’t a necessity, they have no obligation to whosoever, they can do whatever they want and be wherever they want. Do you want to be like them?

Example Bad Definition #3: Success is having a good education and passing exam.
Will, secondary school enough for you or do you need a professor educational to be called a success. Our late Tan Sri Dato Seri Dr. Lim Goh Tong had only schooling until age of sixteen and yet managed to build an empire of businesses.

Example Bad Definition #4: Success is having a good family?
Yes having a lovingly spouse and children are a must in life but do you know what constitute of a loving family. One of the NOT of a loving family is coming home late at night and saying sorry to your children/spouse for missing the dinner with them for the 5th time of the week.
